Join TAP-SF in planting bittermelon and Chinese chili peppers at Radical Family Farms in Sebastopol on Saturday, April 26 from 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm!
There will be an optional off-farm lunch at Handline in downtown Sebastopol before the farm visit, at noon. Handline is named after a method of sustainable fishing, sources locally, and is 5 minutes from the farm.
Radical Family Farms grows culturally relevant crops for the Chinese, Taiwanese, Korean, Japanese, and South East Asian diaspora. Their crops are grown with agroecological, regenerative, no-spray, chemical-free, and low-till methods.
Our TAP-SF members first learned about Radical Family Farms in the beginning of the pandemic, when they helped fill “the gaps in local communities for food access”. Radical Family Farm stepped in to feed food-insecure seniors throughout the Bay Area when it was not safe for them to go to the grocery store or farmers’ market.
