Looking to make new friends? Want to win over colleagues at work? Historically, charisma was thought to be an innate trait--either you have it or you don't. Recent research shows, however, that charisma is a skill that we can learn. TAP-SF invites you to join us in learning how to win friends and influence people.
This interactive workshop will be led by a member of our own Taiwanese-American community, Wayne Hsiung. Hsiung is an animal cruelty investigator, former faculty member at Northwestern School of Law, and co-founder and Executive Director of The Simple Heart Initiative. His work has been covered by WIRED, ABC’s "Nightline," and "The Ezra Klein Show." Among other topics, he'll walk us through the components of charisma:
Being present
Showing warmth
Being curious
Because capacity is limited, we're asking for a nominal fee to confirm your commitment* and ensure that we don't unnecessarily deny spots to waitlist members.
*Google's security team also requires a guest list in advance. Out of respect for other participants--and to respect the privilege of using Google's space--here's the cancellation policy:
Let us know asap so that we can open up the spot for someone on the waitlist.
We cannot guarantee refunds for cancellation requests made after August 11. If you cancel after that date, your ticket will be considered a donation to TAP-SF and/or the workshop owner.
Ticket sales will close at 11:59 p.m. PST on Thursday, August 22. Questions? Email pd@tap-sf.org.
