Community Service: Rebuilding Together Oakland

When: Saturday, April 28, 8:00am-5:00pm

Where: Oakland, CA (location TBA after sign up is confirmed)

Why: For National Volunteer Month, TAP is working with Rebuilding Together for an entire day by rebuilding a house in Oakland. Spend a nice Saturday with TAP members, Rebuilding Together Oakland volunteers and other community partners to improve a home for a deserving homeowner. This is also a great way to actively celebrate National Volunteer Month.

The work on this day may entail painting, redecorating, or rebuilding certain parts of a house. More details about the rebuilding will be communicated once the exact site location is determined. No prior experience is necessary. You just need to bring a positive attitude and willingness to help out.

Spend this day with fellow TAP members for a very rewarding experience. As the event runs nearly all day, lunch will be provided by Rebuilding Oakland Together.  The exact address will be distributed after sign-up is confirmed. Driving to the event is highly recommended as public transportation is limited. Please contact me directly if you have any questions.

Please note:

*This event is limited as far as the number of attendees. Priority will be given to TAP members first so please become a member if you aren’t already. You can become a member by following online directions here:  http://tap-sf.org/membership/ This event is FREE for both members and non-members.
