Taiwanese Tea Ceremony with the Ambassador of Taiwan Tea

When: Saturday, February 18, 3:00-5:00pm
Where: Taiwanese American Center of Northern California, 4413 Fortran Court, San Jose

Why: Love tea?  Come learn everything about tea!  The Ambassador of Taiwan Tea, Mr. Thomas Shu, will host a workshop exploring different tea varieties and processes with demonstrations and even rap songs.  Join us for a fun afternoon and learn about this delicious aspect of our Taiwanese culture.

About the Speaker: Thomas Shu is a third-generation tea specialist from Taiwan, where his family has been conducting tea business for more than sixty five (65) years.  He works with many major tea companies and premium tea importers from Asia, Europe, and the United States. With his proficient expertise and extensive knowledge in the industry, Thomas Shu becomes one of the professional instructors for Special Tea Institute, as well as a popular speaker at many conventions  and educational institutes throughout the United States.

In April 2007, Mr. Shu received an honorary title, Ambassador of Taiwan Tea”, from Taiwan Tea Manufacturers’ Association in recognizing his dedications and contributions for tea industry.  He is one of the founding members and board directors of American Premium Tea Institutewhich is now known as Specialty Tea Institute. 

 Since 2008, Thomas has been continuously conducting Taiwan Oolongs Study Tour Program, an extensive Educational Field Trip for International tea professionals to hands on study Taiwan Oolongs.
